In this post, there are things available for the students that will help them to work on their skills at home to help them with practicing what we are going over in the classroom.
Here is a link that will take you to an interactive number base block that is available for your children to use for practice with addition. By looking at the addition problem that is posed, your children can move the blocks around to pair them up until they can reach a group of 10, this will help them not only by being able to manipulate the blocks and see them there, it can also help them to see how the numbers can be grouped to make a group of 10. This can be very helpful for the students to keep track of the numbers.

Here is a link that is similar to the organizer that I posted above however it is for subtraction problems. It offers the same benefits as the addition organizer, letting the students see how the numbers can be grouped together. This organizer also breaks up the 10s blocks into ones digits so that the students can see how they will need to regroup in order to solve the problems.

Here is an addition game that is based off of an alien invasion, and by adding up the problems and shooting the UFO that has the correct answer, as the question appears at the bottom of the screen the student have to click the correct answer that is shown on a little flying spaceship. This game is a fun way to drill and practice and it also works on mental math skills, meaning that the students don't have time to write out the questions, and it would be difficult for them to count it out on their fingers, this game really helps with the speediness of the response.

Here is a game that can help with the students number sense and can help them to see how the numbers can be added together to make the sum. It follows the abacus model to represent numbers and can be used to help with addition.
